A new service commences with the JCT of SLPA between Colombo and Myanmar

A new service commences with  the JCT of SLPA  between Colombo and Myanmar

MV Pathien Star of Continental Shipping Line  makes her inaugural call at the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) of Sri Lanka Ports Authority(SLPA) on 23.03.2016 under the new Colombo – Yangon service. The vessel called from Chennai, India is scheduled to leave Port Yangon of Myanmar.

To mark her inaugural call at the Port of Colombo, plaques were exchanged between Mr.Jayantha Perera – Director (Operations) of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) and the Master  of the vessel, Capt.Myint Kywe.

SAR MARITIME AGENCIES (PVT) LIMITED acts the local agents of the shipping line.

Managing Director of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) – Mr.H.D.A.S.Premachandra, Harbour Master – Capt.Ravi Jayawickrama, Chief Operations Manager (Actg) – Mr.I.K.Gnaanathilaka,  Senior Manager (marketing and Business Development) – Mr.Chitral Jayawardhane, Managing Director of SAR Maritime Agencies (Pvt) Ltd; - Mr.Raju Radha, Director Ms.Ashwini Radha and the General Manager  Mr.B.S.Dole also attended the occasion.
