HC Line Male-Colombo Express Service debuts today

HC Line Male-Colombo Express Service debuts today

SAGTHC Line has announced its Malé-Colombo Express Service, to increase feeder connectivity via the Port of Colombo starting from Monday (12 October).
The company will provide its customers with a unique, customer-friendly experience for the Colombo-Male sea transportation industry. HC Line hopes to provide an efficient, more reliable and a much more flexible service to the Maldivian economy that will change the game of shipping for good.

“Hemas Transportation is proud to be a part of the growth in the Colombo Port and with HC Lines Maldives, we are confident that this new service will add value to the trade,” said Hemas Transportation Managing Director Kasturi Wilson.

‘HC Line’ and ‘Honey Corner Group’ Chairman Uz. Abdul Gayyoom Ali is hopeful that the introduction of this service will be beneficial to the Maldivian economy by aiding the export-import trade with a reliable yet cost effective alternative.

“Our goal here is to provide a service that the traders of this nation can depend on. Being a trader myself and understanding the logistical challenges we face, I know the views and experiences of a business owner and operator,” he said.

“It is very important that the nation’s economy is provided with a cost-effective service that can deliver businesses with a dependable and punctual shipping option. Of course, with no disrespect to fellow operators I must add that we have always taken an interest in pushing ourselves to become better and bigger every day. With this in mind, we will always be looking to innovative ways, with the aid of new advancements in technology, to further improve the industry and the customer experiences,” Ali added.

The service is being introduced with the help of a network of shipping lines and NVOCC in the region, with Karachi, Mundra, Tuticorin, Bangkok, Port Klang, Singapore, Dubai to name a few. All cargo will be transiting through the Port of Colombo and safely transported on the vessel assigned for this sector – MV. HC JADE.

HC Line has already commenced accepting bookings through the company’s office in Maldives and its booking agent in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Mazu Shipping Ltd.
Mazu Shipping Ltd. of Sri Lanka, a subsidiary of the Hemas Group will act as the handling agents in Colombo.
