Sri Lanka Navy, in accordance with naval traditions, welcomed two Bangladesh Coast Guard ships arrived at the Port of Colombo today.
Two Bangladesh Coast Guard ships, BCGS Syed Nazrul and BCGS Tajuddin arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on Tuesday October 25.
The Deputy Director General of Bangladesh Coast Guard, Commodore Yahya Syed along with Commanding Officers of the two ships, Captain Mohammad Salehuddin and Captain Mohammad Hasan Tarique called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters. They were accompanied by the Defense Advisor to the Bangladesh High Commission in Sri Lanka, Commodore Shah Aslam Parvez.
The officers of the two sides held discussions on matters of mutual interest and bilateral importance.
The two ships are scheduled to stay in Sri Lanka until 27th October.
